Gestern Abend mit meiner besseren Hälfte in der Röhre Videos von Savatage(unserer gemeinsamen Lieblingsband) geschaut. Mit der Erinnerung an eins der lautesten Konzerte das wir je erlebt haben.
Sava Konzerte waren immer etwas Besonderes.
Vor gut 31 Jahren war ich mit einem Freund in Frankfurt bei Sava, ca.700 Leute waren da, also war das Volksbildungsheim ziemlich ausgelastet. Wir standen neben dem Tontechniker, der mich vor dem Auftritt fragte, ob ich die Nebelkanonen bedienen wolle, der zweite Mann sei krank geworden. Auf Zeichen von ihm nebelte ich sodann die Band ein, bei Ghosts In The Ruins blieb ich etwas länger auf den Knöpfen, und die Band verschwand in einer Nebelwand. Das alleine war schon ein klasse Erlebnis, aber nach dem Konzert klopfte mir Jon Oliva zweimal kräftig auf die Schulter und meinte:"Thanks, good Job."

Meine Mutter ging schon vor 46 Jahren, seitdem vermisse ich sie auch.
Danke Dir, bin mal gespannt, was die Family daraus macht. Bisher hatte sie die Fäden in der Hand. Ich hoffe, wir halten weiterhin alle zusammen.Das tut mir sehr leid, mein aufrichtiges Beileid.

Meine Mutter starb 1975, also vor 47 Jahren. Damals war ich 17 Jahre alt. Habe Jahre gebraucht, um mit dieser Situation fertig zu werden.
